Comprehensive Impurity Analysis for CCUS Applications
Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage is a critical technology for reducing CO2 emissions in sectors that are difficult to decarbonise, such as heavy industry and fossil fuel based power generation. To ensure safe transport, storage and utilisation of captured CO2, a wide range of impurities must be carefully monitored, as even low concentrations can affect corrosion behaviour, process efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance.
The GAS CCUS Gas Analyser combines gas chromatography with Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy into a single, compact analytical system. Gas chromatography provides selective separation and detection of permanent gases, hydrocarbons and sulphur components, while FTIR delivers molecular identification of polar and reactive compounds such as water, ammonia, aldehydes and nitrogen oxides. This combined approach ensures complete impurity coverage with fast analysis times and high sensitivity.
