Thermal desorption (TD) is the technique of choice for air monitoring. It is an invaluable tool when sample enhancement is needed to reach the very low detection levels required. VOC analysers are used for the detection of low concentrations of VOC. These gas analysers can be used to detect several components like alkanes, isoalkanes, aromatic components and sulphur components among others.
