PPB-PPT level analysis of VOC using  CompactGC4.0 with thermal desorption

Volatile organic compounds are present in almost every atmosphere. Many are toxic and subject to strict regulatory limits, while others cause nuisance due to extremely low odour thresholds. In applications such as environmental monitoring, workplace safety and material emission testing, very low detection limits are required to reliably quantify these components.

The GAS Thermal Desorption Analyser combines the CompactGC4.0 platform with an electrically cooled thermal desorption concentrator. A precisely defined gas volume is sampled, preconcentrated on an adsorbent trap and rapidly desorbed onto the analytical column. This approach enables highly sensitive analysis down to ppb and ppt levels while maintaining fast cycle times, excellent chromatographic performance and a compact instrument footprint.
