Accurate Refrigerant Analysis Using Gas Chromatography
Refrigerants are low-boiling single components or mixtures used in refrigeration and heat pump systems. Traditionally, many refrigerants contained fluorinated and chlorinated compounds, which are now increasingly regulated or phased out due to their environmental impact. Accurate identification and quantification of refrigerants is therefore essential for product quality control, recycling, and regulatory compliance.
The GAS Refrigerants Analyser provides custom-configured GC solutions for the analysis of refrigerants and coolants in both laboratory and industrial environments. Based on proven GC technology, the analyser supports multiple sampling modes for liquid and gaseous samples. Depending on matrix complexity and unknown sample composition, one to four analysis channels can be configured using capillary columns with FID and/or TCD detection, ensuring reliable separation and identification across a wide range of refrigerant components.
Applications
- Refrigerant Identification and Composition Analysis
Analyse single-component and blended refrigerants, including hydrocarbons and fluoro/chloro-hydrocarbons. - Refrigerant Recycling and Reuse
