Detailed Hydrocarbon Analysis (DHA) is a critical tool for characterising petroleum products, blend stocks and biofuels. Traditional DHA methods based on GC-FID often require complex chromatographic separation, long analysis times and extensive manual data review to resolve co-eluting components.

The GAS Verified Hydrocarbon Analysis (VHA) solution using GC-VUV provides a highly improved alternative to conventional DHA. Vacuum Ultraviolet (VUV) absorbance spectra enable reliable identification and quantification of individual hydrocarbons and compound classes, even in cases of chromatographic co-elution. The analyser complies with ASTM D8369 and delivers DHA-level speciation with higher accuracy, reduced labour and significantly shorter analysis times.
